Introducing ENVI-met Microclimate Simulation System Version 5.5

Just in time with the upcoming summer in the northern hemisphere, we introduce our latest innovation, the ENVI-met Microclimate Simulation System Version 5.5. Marking a major leap from V5.1, the new version V5.5 comes with significant enhancements and exciting additions.

Dynamic Thermal Comfort

• A major improvement to the ENVI-met Real-Time Mode which has further expanded the available simulation options. This allows for the simulation of dynamic situations such as the effects of traffic and pedestrian flows. • A significant speed-up in the calculation speed of the software, allowing for the processing of large data sets more quickly that before. • Enhanced monitoring capabilities, allowing for detailed analysis of environmental conditions at any point in time. • An improved user interface with a new 3D rendering engine, providing a clearer view of the modeled environment. • The integration of new meteorological modules, which allow for the creation of more accurate simulations.

Enhanced Color Ramps

The latest version of LEONARDO adds several significant improvements to the application. Introducing the innovative “Classified Data” display method, which conveniently organizes your data into distinct classes in real-time. With this feature, you have the flexibility to adjust the classification settings effortlessly through the user-friendly interface or via python scripts, allowing for easy customization whenever needed. Aswell over 50 new color ramps have been introduced based on latest scientific findings about color perception, interpretation of values and the application for visually restricted viewers.

Key Role in Climate Adaptation and Urban Planning

ENVI-met software plays a key role in climate adaptation by allowing the precise modeling of microclimate at a local level. With this software, one can accurately predict the temperatures, wind speeds, and air flows in urban areas, and also take into account how these conditions can be altered by the presence of buildings, vegetation, and other features. This information is invaluable for urban planners as it allows them to design cities and buildings that are better adapted to the local climate while also meeting sustainability goals. Additionally, ENVI-met also provides detailed information which can be used to assess the impact of climate change on local ecosystems and inform adaptive strategies.
